I am a student in The University of Rhode Island Masters of Education and Teacher Certification Program (MATCP). I received a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Rhode Island in 2005. I have been working at URI's Budget Office for 6 years, first as their student employee and currently, after graduation, as a financial analyst. I graduated from Chariho High School and have lived in Rhode Island my entire life. My goal is to finish my Masters degree and to find a teaching position in a southern Rhode Island high school. I am earning certification for Biology and General Science and will be endorsed in Middle School Education. My preference is to teach life science courses such as; biology, oceanography, anatomy, physiology, and ecology. Outside of education and work I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
